BioVisuals License Terms

1. Overview

These License Terms (“Terms”) govern your access and use of the BioVisuals™ platform, including icons, scientific layouts, templates, illustrations, AI-generated layouts, and all resources available through biovisuals.net.

By accessing or using BioVisuals, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the platform.

2. Definitions

• Assets: Icons, templates, scientific layouts, backgrounds, and downloadable visual elements provided by BioVisuals.
• Projects: Any illustrations created using the BioVisuals Studio.
• Plans: Free, Premium, Professional (Team), Institution/Enterprise.

3. License Grant

BioVisuals grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Assets to create scientific illustrations subject to these Terms and your plan type.

4. Restrictions

Regardless of plan level, you may NOT:

• Resell or redistribute BioVisuals icons or templates as standalone files.
• Create a competing icon or template library using BioVisuals content.
• Use BioVisuals Assets for unlawful or harmful activities.
• Claim ownership over BioVisuals Assets.

5. Usage Rights by Plan

5.1 Free Plan

You may:

• Create up to 5 illustrations
• Export for presentation use only
• Use in classroom or internal academic settings

Not allowed: publications, posters, grants, commercial use.

5.2 Premium Plan (Academic Individual)

You may use illustrations in:

• Journal publications
• Conference posters
• Grant proposals
• Thesis / dissertations
• Institutional talks

Not allowed: commercial services or branding.

5.3 Professional Plan (Teams / Labs)

Includes all Premium rights, plus:

• Use across your lab or team
• Shared workspace rights
• Multi-user editing & collaboration

5.4 Institution / Enterprise

Includes all Professional rights, plus:

• Commercial use allowed
• Use in reports, marketing, investor decks
• Unlimited seats (based on contract)

6. Ownership

• BioVisuals owns all icons, templates, and platform Assets.
• You own all final exported illustrations created by you.

7. AI-Generated Layouts

AI-generated layouts belong to you and may be used in publications. You may not resell or redistribute them as icon packs or template libraries.

8. Attribution

Attribution (“Created with BioVisuals™”) is required for Free plan. It is optional for Premium, Professional, and Institution plans.

9. Privacy & Data Security

All user data is encrypted and protected. BioVisuals never sells personal data. See our Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violations of these Terms. Previously exported illustrations remain yours.

11. Scientific Disclaimer

BioVisuals Assets are conceptual scientific illustrations and not intended for diagnostic or clinical use.
